Long-time labour activist to give solidarity speech at PSAC rally tomorrow
OTTAWA - Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) members on the picket line tomorrow at Place du Portage, will hear a vibrant speech of support and solidarity from a long-time union activist as they continue their strike action for respect and a fair increase from their employer, the federal government.
Michel Chartrand, well-known Quebec trade unionist, will address the PSAC members in front of Place du Portage at 10 a.m. tomorrow. At 10:30 a.m., PSAC members from the Ottawa region will march across the Portage Bridge, to join their Brothers and Sisters on the picket line at the Place du Portage complex.
