JOINT COMMUNIQUÉ
Talks resume between the PSAC and Treasury Board

OTTAWA - Following strike action by Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) members across the country, the PSAC and Treasury Board have made a decision to return to the bargaining table.

Both parties have indicated a willingness to modify their position in a number of areas. Based on preliminary discussions between the PSAC and Treasury Board, it was determined that there was a basis to return to the negotiating table with the hope of securing a collective agreement on behalf of 87,000 PSAC members.

The parties anticipate that discussions can commence on September 14^th.
