NEWS MEDIA ADVISORY
PSAC to release poll results on airport security screening
OTTAWA - Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) officials will hold a news conference on Monday, to release details of a recent nation-wide poll on the issue of airport security screening. The poll follows a federal government announcement that it will put in place a new federal agency to deal with airport security.
Representatives of the Union of Canadian Transport Employees (UCTE) component of the PSAC have been meeting with the federal government on this issue. The union is becoming increasingly concerned that federal government plans for the agency will not provide the safety and security Canadians expect when travelling.
