Gerry Halabecki is the PSAC Regional Executive Vice-President (REVP) for Ontario. He was re-elected in 2005 at the PSAC's Triennial Ontario Regional Convention.
As an REVP, Gerry is responsible for the following activities in his region: Regional Council, organizing and recertifications, education, political and social action, women's and equity programs, Area Councils, Directly Chartered Locals and separate employers, Federation of Labour and related committees and District Labour Councils.

Prior to his election as REVP in 2000, Gerry worked for the Canadian Grain Commission in Thunder Bay for 25 years. In 1999, Gerry was re-elected as Regional Vice-President for the Agriculture Union of the PSAC for the Northwestern Ontario region, a position he had held since 1996.
Gerry began his Union activities in 1986 when he was elected as Vice-President of Agriculture Union Local 30. He was subsequently elected as President of his Local, a position he held for the next seven years.
