DQPS Float in Gold Cup Parade

One of the student projects this summer was a float in Charlottetown's 45 Annual Gold Cup Parade. The Parade theme this year was "Games People Play". Student, Teresa Wright-Constable themed our float around the game show "Wheel of Fortune" with the letter board proclaiming "Public Services Are Cool". With the assistance of members, Teresa was able to build a very appealing and successful float. Thank You Teresa!

    DQPS Rally at Conservative Retreat

The Charlottetown PSAC Regional Office held a Rally to coincide with the Conservative Caucus retreat held in Charlottetown August 01, 2007. Eight members and two National Component Officers participated and passed out pinwheels to the children and DQPS fans to the public.

We had excellent media coverage from seven radio stations, including CBC Radio French, the Guardian Newspaper, CBC Web Page, and the Guardian Web Page.

It was disappointing that nobody from the conservative caucus came to speak to us but two Liberal MP's, Wayne Easter & Shawn Murphy, visited our rally.
