BARGAINING UPDATE

Both bargaining teams met in Ottawa on November 8, 2005 to finalize plans for the upcoming ratification votes.  We are aiming to have all the votes in and counted by December 15, 2005.  This means that all members in both the Field Interviewer and Regional Office Interviewer units will have the opportunity to review the ratification kit and ask questions within the next four weeks.

Ratification meetings will be held throughout the country in all major centres.  Those members who cannot attend a meeting because they live too far away will have the opportunity to listen in and ask questions by conference call.  These members will receive their ratification kits and ballots in the mail, and will be asked to mail in their vote.  If a meeting is being held where you live, you must come to the meeting in order to vote.  Only PSAC members in good standing will be eligible to cast their ballot.

Meeting dates and times will be posted on the PSAC regional websites as soon as they are available.  The ratification kit will be posted to the PSAC national website as soon as possible so that all members can review the tentative agreement prior to the ratification meetings.
