Questions to ask management
- Given the government’s announcements, what impact does management expect the announced cuts to have on our workplace, if any?
- Does management have any changes planned with respect to staffing in the workplace, such as the use of attrition, reductions in positions, etc.?
- If there are plans to leave positions vacant, who will take on the additional workload? How will the work get done?
- Is management aware of its obligations under our collective agreement, particularly with respect to the job security provisions?
The questions in the member/steward report card can also be used as a guide.
If management says changes are planned, tell them the union will be enforcing its rights, and that PSAC will be taking steps to protect the services that we provide.
