Bill C-10: Don't use the budget bill to eliminate pay equity
On February 6, 2009 the government tabled legislation that will radically change the rules governing pay equity in the federal public sector. The Public Sector Equitable Compensation Act will remove the right of public sector workers to file pay equity complaints with the Canadian Human Rights Commission and transform it into an issue that can be traded away at the bargaining table.

National campaign established to eliminate regional rates of pay

Treasury Board targetting PFA
Treasury Board is playing a ‘danger pay double-cross' on almost 2,000 USGE members at the Correctional Service of Canada. They've told CSC to stop paying the Penological Factor Allowance to almost 2,000 USGE members starting August 10. The union is fighting back while USGE members are putting up information picket lines.

Ontario Health Premium
There is a whole lot wrong with the Ontario Health Premium. In a July 12 th , 2004 letter from Nycole Turmel to Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty lists five reasons why the government should withdraw the tax and ensure that health care funding is not regressive and discriminatory. Details
PSAC's Protective Reassignment Campaign
At the 2004 PSAC National Health and Safety Conference, which was held in Toronto from March 26 to 28, the PSAC launched a campaign calling on the Federal Government to pass legislation that will ensure full protection for pregnant and nursing workers whose jobs pose a risk to health of their baby or foetus.
