Parks Bargaining: both sides pare down issues to aim for settlement

PSAC and Parks Canada bargaining teams met this week for another round of negotiations. While the week got off to a slow start, by Thursday the teams were reconfirming their commitment to reaching a tentative agreement.

While the PSAC bargaining team continues to address key issues, the parties have to reconsider their proposal packages for this round to negotiate a new collective agreement.

Your team has again reviewed its proposals and has put some issues aside for the next round of negotiations. Parks Canada has also withdrawn some of its proposals.

This week negotiations ended on a positive note with both teams focused on moving toward a tentative agreement. We are back at the table the week of November 19 and December 10.

Please continue to demonstrate your support for your bargaining team.
