Compensation Advisors move to Miramichi approved, but PSAC still waiting to hear details

The implementation plan for the transfer of federal pay services to Miramichi was approved by Treasury Board in December.

Compensation Advisors have been contacting the union and asking when their jobs will be transferred to Miramichi. They are extremely concerned about their future and their lives are on hold while they wait.

PSAC is still waiting to hear which departments and agencies will be in the first wave. We had been promised that information in the early new year and expected that affected employees would be notified directly in accordance with the WFA Appendix. Instead, we've experienced delay after delay. We don’t believe that the Public Works team working on this project is responsible for the delay, but someone in government is, and it is unacceptable.

Given the aggressive timelines associated with the transfer of pay and benefits to Miramichi, Compensation Advisors deserve to know when and how they will be affected.
