PA occupational groups: classification reform process begins
Treasury Board has outlined its preferred model for new occupational groups for the Program and Administrative Services (PA) group. This model suggests three new occupational groups including a separate group for work done by the Welfare Programs (WP) group.

Canada Post pay equity decision: what happens now?
On November 17, 2011, PSAC won a major struggle for women's equality. Our 28-year long battle for pay equity at Canada Post concluded when the Supreme Court ruled in our favour. Up to 6,000 current and former employees of Canada Post who worked as CRs between 1982 and 2002 will be eligible for payments.

Treasury Board: no approval for Transformation of pay administration plan until December
Employer representatives told the PSAC at an Oct. 19 consultation meeting that Treasury Board is not expected to approve the plan to implement the Transformation of Pay Administration until December. It won't be known which departments will be part of the first transfer of 20,000 accounts to Miramichi until then.
