The first ever Prairies Youth Initiative brought together 24 participants from across the Region in hopes of "Inspiring Change". |
Our Youth members clearly identified the need to mentor young activists, continue to build communication among Youth members in our union and to plan for the future strength and success of the PSAC. |

MONTREAL – Racialized delegates of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) from
across the country had an opportunity to examine issues that have a direct impact on their
communities such as the current backlash and debate on the issue of reasonable
accommodation, racial profiling and security, and the cut-backs of public services.
These issues are also workshop topics at the union's National Conference for Racially
Visible Members. With the theme “Be the Change: Create a Better World,” the three-day
conference aims to strengthen solidarity and to empower, politicize and mobilize members
to take on leadership and action to ensure their union, workplaces and communities are free of racism.
