Workshop discussions enabled participants to develop their knowledge
of the issues.
With the help of the Conference co-presidents, Robyn Benson and
Jerome Turcq, delegates sang “Solidarity For Ever” at the
beginning of the conference.
Deborah Stienstra, a professor and director of the interdisciplinary
master's program in disability studies at the University of Manitoba
, captivated the audience when she gave concrete examples of the
impact of globalization and free trade agreements on people with
disabilities.
